Max Verstappen has yet to register a lap time in sprint qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, and the Dutchman has now been noted for a yellow flag infringement, according to BBC reporting.

Neither McLaren driver has completed a flying lap either. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are both still without a time on the board.

The session has been halted and will resume at 13:46 BST, the BBC reports.

The interruption leaves several of the front-running cars without a representative time at a point when the grid for the sprint is still to be settled. A yellow flag infringement note against Verstappen adds a separate matter for the stewards to consider once running is back under way.

Earlier in the Marina Bay weekend, George Russell set the pace in the only practice session, finishing ahead of Charles Leclerc, according to BBC coverage. Mercedes team-mates Russell and Kimi Antonelli have been described by Motorsport.com as "test pilots" for the team at this event, a reference to the experimental work the pair are carrying out across the weekend.

Formula 1 has also highlighted the stories that generated discussion around the Singapore paddock, while Sky Sports is carrying live coverage of sprint qualifying and practice from the Marina Bay race weekend.

With the session set to restart, attention turns to whether Verstappen, Norris and Piastri can put a competitive time down before the sprint grid is decided, and to how the stewards handle the yellow flag note involving Verstappen.
