Aurora Gaming defeated Team Falcons to capture the MPL Philippines Season 18 championship, ABS-CBN reported on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The title win was covered by the Philippine outlet's sports desk.
The victory also secured Aurora a place at M8, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world championship, according to Manila Bulletin, which credited Nathzz with a leading performance in the team's run past TLPH to book the berth.
The Season 18 playoffs drew heavy attention, with GMA Network describing the semifinal round as a source of excitement for fans. The same playoff stage produced another milestone: Daily Tribune reported that Falcons PH clinched an M8 championship spot through a comeback in the MPL playoffs.
Aurora's path also included ending Team Liquid's bid for a fourth straight title, all-starmagazine.com reported. That result removed a defending force from the bracket before Aurora went on to take the crown.
The season's final stretch thus delivered two M8 qualifiers from the Philippine league, with Aurora lifting the trophy and Falcons PH also securing their world championship place.
What to watch next: how Aurora and Falcons PH fare when they carry the Philippines' hopes into the M8 world championship.
