Archbishop Kazimba has called on the people of Bunyoro to make the most of the opportunities emerging from Uganda's oil industry, according to Uganda Radionetwork.
The appeal was reported by Uganda Radionetwork on Sunday, 8 November 2026. The outlet did not publish further details of the remarks in the material available.
Bunyoro is the region at the centre of Uganda's oil activity, and the archbishop's message places the church's voice behind local participation in the sector. Uganda Radionetwork reports that his call was directed at residents of the area.
The report did not specify which opportunities the archbishop highlighted, where he made the remarks, or what form of involvement he encouraged. Those details were not available in the source summary.
What to watch next: whether church and local leaders in Bunyoro follow up the call with concrete programmes to help residents access oil-related work and business.
