Motorsport-Total.com has rated Audi driver Nico Hülkenberg as the second-best performer at the Singapore Grand Prix. The publication's driver ratings for the race were compiled by former Formula 1 driver Marc Surer together with the outlet's editorial team, according to Motorsport-Total.com.
The race itself went to Max Verstappen, who won in Singapore for the first time. German broadcaster sportschau.de described the result as his second victory in a row.
Coverage of the weekend also noted unusual radio traffic involving Verstappen during the race. BILD reported what it called radio chaos in Singapore, adding that the race winner sent an unusual message over the team radio.
The Singapore result fed into a wider discussion about the shape of the season. WELT reported that Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli was asked about how the championship would look if Verstappen maintained his current form, and that Antonelli said such a scenario "would be frightening."
Motorsport-Total.com also published a photo gallery of the Singapore driver ratings from Surer and its editorial staff, the same ratings that placed Hülkenberg second.
The next point of interest is whether Hülkenberg and Audi can carry that rated performance into the following rounds, and whether Verstappen's run of wins continues.
