Gimnasia de Mendoza host Newell's Old Boys in the Torneo Clausura, with the match scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2026, according to TyC Sports. The Argentine outlet reports the fixture is part of the Liga Profesional calendar and has published the confirmed line-ups, kick-off time and broadcast details for viewers.
Newell's arrive in Mendoza carrying an unbeaten streak, according to La Capital, which describes the visitors as putting that run on the line against a direct rival in the fight for classification. Rosario3 frames the meeting the same way, calling it a head-to-head between two sides competing for a place in the next stage of the competition.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) also lists the match on its schedule, confirming Newell's trip to Mendoza as an official fixture. Coverage across TyC Sports, La Capital, Rosario3 and TN centres on the same pre-match essentials: where to watch live, the starting line-ups for both teams, and the kick-off time.
Both clubs go into the game with classification at stake rather than merely pride, given the direct-rival framing used by the Argentine press. Newell's will be looking to protect its unbeaten record on the road, while Gimnasia de Mendoza will try to take points from a team above them in the race.
What to watch next: whether Newell's can extend its unbeaten run away from home, and how the result reshapes the Clausura classification battle between the two clubs.
