Borussia Dortmund host SV Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Friday evening, and BILD reports a surprise concerning defender Nico Schlotterbeck. The German outlet published the development on Friday, ahead of the match.
BILD's headline points to unexpected news around Schlotterbeck, though the outlet's summary does not spell out further details. No full article text was available at the time of writing, so the exact nature of the surprise remains unclear from the material published.
The fixture itself has drawn attention on several fronts. Werder forward Niclas Füllkrug is "hot" for a reunion with Dortmund, according to sportschau.de. Werder have named their lineup for the game in Dortmund, with Hein starting in goal, the club announced. Kicker has published details on where the match can be followed live on television and via stream, while Die DeichStube is running a live ticker of the Bundesliga meeting.
Dortmund and Bremen meet under Friday-night lights, a slot that puts the result in immediate focus before the rest of the matchday unfolds. Schlotterbeck's situation is the element BILD has flagged as noteworthy, and it shapes how Dortmund's defensive setup may look.
