Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has commented publicly after his meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Norwegian outlet Nettavisen. The report, published Tuesday, did not provide full details of Zelensky’s remarks.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place against a backdrop of other high-level engagements. Norwegian broadcaster NRK noted that the Ukrainian leader’s schedule included both a funeral and two summit meetings, though the outlet did not specify which funeral or summits. The meeting with Trump was one of several discussions Zelensky held, according to Stavanger Aftenblad, which reported that the two leaders talked about missiles and peace.
Separately, TV 2 reported that Trump is impressed by Ukraine’s use of drones, though the outlet did not explain the basis for this impression. Another Nettavisen article quoted an unnamed source saying Trump now views Ukraine as winners, without further elaboration.
The reports offer a fragmented picture of the talks. No official joint statement or detailed readout from either side has been published. The articles suggest the conversation covered military technology and the path to ending the war, but concrete outcomes remain unclear.
Observers will watch for any follow-up statements from the Trump campaign or the Ukrainian presidency that might clarify the substance of the discussion.
