The English-language trailer for Yash's upcoming action-drama "Toxic" has been released, according to Variety. The trailer showcases a double role for the star, adding layers of mystery to the gangster narrative, as reported by NDTV.
Variety reports that the trailer is now available for international audiences. The Indian Express notes that the trailer places greater emphasis on the film's universe rather than centering solely on the lead actor, with two additional snippets also released. The film has received an adult certificate in the UK, according to The Times of India, which reported that the rating is stronger than that given to Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar: The Revenge."
Advance bookings for "Toxic" are scheduled to open on August 21, as reported by Moneycontrol. The film is expected to be a major release for Yash, who is known for his pan-Indian appeal following the success of the "KGF" franchise.
The trailer's focus on world-building suggests the film may be setting up a larger cinematic universe, a trend seen in recent Indian blockbusters. The adult certificate in the UK indicates the film will carry mature themes, distinguishing it from more family-oriented releases.
With the trailer now out and bookings opening soon, the film's promotional cycle is entering its final phase. Audiences can expect more details on the film's plot and supporting cast as the release date approaches. The combination of Yash's star power, a dual-role performance, and a gritty gangster setting positions "Toxic" as one of the most anticipated Indian releases of the year.
