Max Verstappen will restart the Mexico City Grand Prix from pole position, according to NU. The race was halted after a heavy crash involving Valtteri Bottas, the outlet reported.

NU's headline also states that Kimi Antonelli is closing in on the title. According to AD.nl, Antonelli will restart from third and must stay out of trouble. De Telegraaf reported that Verstappen was leading Lewis Hamilton at the time of its live coverage, with Antonelli on course for the championship.

The race was stopped following Bottas's crash, RTL.nl reported. NU's summary indicates the collision was serious enough to bring out the suspension and force a restart, with Verstappen holding the top spot when the field lines up again.

The picture at the front is therefore a direct fight between Verstappen and Hamilton, with Antonelli running third. For Antonelli, the priority is avoiding incidents rather than chasing the lead, given his position in the title race.

What to watch next: whether Verstappen can hold off Hamilton from the restart, and whether Antonelli can bring his car home cleanly from third to secure the championship.
