The Golden State Valkyries have a chance to clinch the WNBA championship, and the Atlanta Dream are playing to keep their season going in Game 6 of the Finals, according to ESPN. The game is set for a 12:30 p.m. start, ESPN reports.
ESPN's preview lays out three keys for each side heading into the matchup, though the specifics of those keys were not included in the available summary.
The tip-off time has drawn wide criticism. The New York Times called the early afternoon scheduling an embarrassment for a league that should be celebrating its Finals, and The Washington Post reported that the timing has frustrated West Coast fans. USA Today, in an opinion piece, argued that NBA commissioner Adam Silver shares responsibility for the start-time controversy.
The matchup puts two outcomes on the table: a Golden State title celebration, or an Atlanta win that keeps the series alive.
Watch whether the Valkyries can finish the job or the Dream force the series to a deciding game.
