The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has published the results of its in-person control examination, according to a report from La Jornada. The announcement was made public on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The release of these results follows a period of scrutiny over the exam process. Reports indicate that the university had faced irregularities related to the use of artificial intelligence during testing, which prompted the decision to hold the exam in person as a control measure.
La Jornada reports that the university has now made the outcomes available to candidates. The exam is a key step for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs at the institution. According to additional coverage cited in the summary, UNAM has also provided guidance on how applicants can check whether they secured a place in their chosen degree program.
The in-person format was introduced after concerns emerged about the integrity of the testing process. The university's move to publish results now aims to bring clarity to applicants who participated under these adjusted conditions.
The results are accessible through official UNAM channels, as detailed in the university's own communications. Candidates are advised to verify their status using the designated online portal.
What to watch next: Whether UNAM will release a full breakdown of pass rates or take further action regarding the AI-related irregularities that led to the in-person exam format.
