Two UK health charities have opened a joint research grant focused on pancreatitis. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Guts UK are offering funding for studies into the condition, according to fundsforNGOs.
The grant was announced on July 27, 2026, and is intended to support research that improves understanding or treatment of pancreatitis, fundsforNGOs reports. The partnership combines the expertise of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which focuses on cystic fibrosis, and Guts UK, which funds digestive health research.
Pancreatitis is a common complication for people with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system. The condition involves inflammation of the pancreas and can lead to severe pain and long-term health issues. By pooling resources, the two charities aim to encourage more targeted research into the mechanisms and management of pancreatitis.

Applications for the grant are now open. Researchers interested in applying should review the eligibility criteria and submission guidelines provided by the charities.
