Turkey’s women’s volleyball team, known as the Filin Sultanları, defeated Germany 3-1 on Wednesday to remain unbeaten at the 2026 CEV European Championship. The match, played on August 26, marked Turkey’s fourth consecutive victory in the tournament, according to Fanatik.
Fanatik reports that the team’s perfect start has drawn attention, with the squad showing no signs of slowing down. The result extends Turkey’s winning run in the group stage, keeping them at the top of their pool with maximum points.
The Turkish Volleyball Federation confirmed the fifth day of the championship concluded with Turkey’s latest win, as reported by the federation’s official channels. Head coach Daniele Santarelli acknowledged the team’s performance but stressed there is still room for improvement, according to Hürriyet. “There are areas where we can grow,” Santarelli said, per the outlet, signaling that the squad is not resting on its early success.
Turkey’s 4-0 record places them in a strong position as the group stage continues. The team has yet to drop a match, though Wednesday’s contest against Germany was their closest result so far, with Germany taking one set.

The victory builds on Turkey’s recent form in international competition, where they have established themselves as a top contender. Their next match will be crucial as they look to secure a top seed heading into the knockout rounds.
With the group stage nearing its end, Turkey will aim to keep their momentum going and close out the preliminary phase without a loss.
