French entertainment outlet AlloCiné has published a report clarifying where the upcoming film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" sits within the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. The article, published July 29, 2026, addresses the chronological placement of the fourth Tom Holland-led Spider-Man movie.
According to AlloCiné, the film's position in the MCU timeline has been a subject of discussion among fans. The outlet's reporting comes as multiple French media sources, including Le Point and Le Monde, have published reviews and analysis of the film following its release. Télérama also included "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" in its weekly cinema selection, noting the film's debut on July 29.
The timeline clarification from AlloCiné follows the broader narrative established in the previous Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, including "Spider-Man: No Way Home." The new installment, titled "Brand New Day," continues the story of Peter Parker after the events that erased public knowledge of his identity.
Courrier International, another French publication, has also weighed in on the film, questioning the current state of the MCU in a piece titled "Spider-Man: Brand New Day: the MCU, what is it?" This suggests ongoing discourse about the franchise's direction.
For readers tracking the MCU chronology, AlloCiné's report provides the necessary context for where "Brand New Day" fits in the larger narrative. The film is now playing in theaters.
