Manchester United named Youri Tielemans as their Player of the Match in Saturday's 1-1 friendly draw with Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg, Sweden, according to the club's official website.
The midfielder made his debut for the club in the match, with the BBC reporting that he impressed against the French champions. Tielemans' performance earned him the club's individual accolade for the game, as confirmed by Manchester United Website.
Bryan Mbeumo scored United's equaliser in the match, according to Sky Sports. The same report noted that Mason Mount was forced off injured during the contest in Sweden.
The match formed part of United's pre-season preparations. The Manchester Evening News described the fixture as generating a "pre-season buzz" that the club had been missing, suggesting a positive atmosphere around the team's performance in Gothenburg.
United's squad for the PSG match was confirmed by the club's website ahead of kickoff, though specific line-up details were not included in the available reporting.
The result leaves United with work to do as they continue their summer schedule. With the Premier League season approaching, the fitness of Mount will be a key concern for the coaching staff following his early exit.
Attention now turns to United's remaining pre-season fixtures, where supporters will be watching to see whether Tielemans can build on his promising debut and how the team addresses the injury setback to Mount.
