A newly promoted team in the Swedish Hockey League has kept up its strong start to the season after picking up another victory, Västerbottens-Kuriren reported on Thursday.
The result extends the newcomer's successful opening run in Sweden's top hockey division, according to the newspaper. The report did not specify the opponent, the score or the date of the game.
Västerbottens-Kuriren described the team's start to life in the SHL as a success, with the latest win adding to its early record. The paper published the report on Thursday evening.
The SHL is the highest level of professional ice hockey in Sweden. Teams that win promotion from the second tier face the challenge of adjusting to a stronger league, where the standard of opposition is higher across the season.
The report gave no further details on the match itself, including which players scored or how the game unfolded. It also did not name the team's next opponent.
What to watch next: whether the newcomer can maintain its form as the SHL season progresses and the fixture list grows tougher.
