A dog owned by the Swedish figure Hellquist has died, according to a report published by the newspaper Expressen on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The outlet shared the news in a brief item, stating that the animal is no longer alive. Expressen did not include further details in the summary of its report.
The name Hellquist is associated with a well-known Swedish media profile, though the Expressen item as summarized does not specify which individual the report concerns. The publication gave no cause or circumstances surrounding the dog's death.
Coverage of the death of a pet belonging to a public figure tends to draw attention in Sweden, where personal stories from prominent media personalities often circulate widely. The Expressen report places the news in that context, treating the loss as a personal matter for the owner.
Because the available summary is limited, it is not possible to confirm additional facts such as the dog's name, age, or breed, and this article does not speculate on those points.
What to watch next: whether Expressen or other Swedish outlets publish a fuller account, or a statement from Hellquist, providing more detail about the dog and the circumstances of its death.
