Two vocalists, Agun and Priyanka, have lent their voices to songs originally performed by Sumi, the Bengali daily Protidiner Sangbad reported on Wednesday.
The report, published on 7 October 2026, presents the pair's recordings as renditions of Sumi's material, with both singers named in the headline. No further details of the tracks, the recording process or a release date were included in the available report.
According to Protidiner Sangbad, the project brings together two performers on a shared set of songs associated with Sumi. The outlet framed the news around the voices of Agun and Priyanka rather than around any new composition, indicating the recordings revisit existing work.
The report offers no information on how many songs were recorded, where the sessions took place, or whether the renditions are intended for a single release, an album or a live performance. It also does not state whether Sumi was involved in the project.
Cover versions and reinterpretations are a common practice in the Bengali music scene, where artists frequently perform material made famous by other singers. Protidiner Sangbad's coverage places this project within that tradition, though the outlet did not elaborate on the musical direction or arrangement choices behind the recordings.
Listeners will need to wait for further announcements from the artists or their representatives for details on when and where the renditions by Agun and Priyanka will be available.
