ST Engineering reported that its earnings for the first half of fiscal 2026 grew at a faster pace than its revenue, a result the company attributed to a more favorable business mix, according to The Edge Singapore.
The Singapore-based technology and engineering group saw profit growth outstrip top-line expansion during the six-month period ended June 30, 2026. The Edge Singapore, which first reported the results, noted that the improved earnings performance was driven by the shift in the composition of the company’s business segments.
In the second quarter of 2026, ST Engineering secured approximately $2.9 billion in new contracts, a figure also reported by Yahoo Finance Singapore and financial analysis site Simply Wall St. The order intake for the quarter was softer than in previous periods, which led to a decline in the company’s share price. According to The Business Times, ST Engineering’s shares fell by as much as 4.7% following the announcement of the weaker Q2 orders.

The company’s half-year results, published on Aug. 12, 2026, cover the period through June 30, 2026. The Edge Singapore’s analysis highlights that the earnings growth was not merely a function of higher sales but reflected an improved mix of higher-margin work across the group’s divisions.
Investors will now be watching whether ST Engineering can maintain its order momentum in the second half of the year, particularly after the softer Q2 booking figure, and whether the favorable business mix continues to support profit growth.
