Luciano Spalletti has said his job security hinges on results after an inconsistent spell of matches, SportyTV reports. The coach's admission, carried in the outlet's football coverage on Wednesday, points to mounting pressure tied directly to his team's recent form.
According to SportyTV, Spalletti is under no illusion that his future rests on how his side performs. The report frames his comment as a recognition that a run of uneven results has left his position exposed.
The remarks follow a stretch in which his team has failed to produce steady form, per SportyTV. The outlet does not specify which club Spalletti is managing or which matches prompted the comment, so the wider context of his situation remains unclear from the reporting.
What the report does make plain is that Spalletti is treating his tenure as conditional on outcomes rather than on any longer-term guarantee. That framing is common among coaches whose teams have drifted between good and poor performances, though SportyTV does not elaborate on the club's internal view or any boardroom discussions.
For now, the story is a straightforward one: a coach publicly conceding that his standing depends on what happens on the pitch. SportyTV's coverage centres on that acknowledgment rather than on any decision already taken.
Next to watch: whether Spalletti's team can string together consistent results, and whether the club's leadership offers any public signal about his position. SportyTV is the source for further updates on the situation.
