SpaceX plans to make another attempt at a Space Development Agency mission, Investor's Business Daily reports, as the company works through a crowded launch calendar.
The flight is the fourth mission in the SDA's Tranche 1 program, according to SpaceX. Air & Space Forces Magazine reports that the Space Development Agency intends to send up 21 additional data transport satellites the following week.
The SDA launch is one item in a busy stretch for SpaceX. The company recently flew a Google AI satellite along with 129 other payloads on the second part of a three-launch sequence, according to Space. Payload Space reports that the Transporter-18 mission carried experiments testing components for orbital data centers.
The reporting does not specify a launch date for the SDA retry or the reason an earlier attempt did not proceed.
What to watch next: whether SpaceX confirms a firm launch window for the SDA mission and whether the Tranche 1 satellites go up on the schedule the agency has outlined.
