Sony has confirmed that a post-credits scene from the new film Spider-Man: Brand New Day has leaked online, according to a report from IT之家. The studio is currently working to remove the leaked content from the internet.
The film, which premiered in theaters today, July 28, 2026, features a post-credits sequence that was not meant to be seen before the official release. IT之家 reports that Sony acknowledged the leak and is actively scrubbing the footage from various platforms. The studio did not specify how the scene was obtained or which platforms were affected.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks a new chapter for the character, with reports from outlets including Sina Finance describing the story as one where the hero begins a solo journey of self-discovery. The film is expected to be a major summer release, with early box office figures reported by Phoenix Entertainment showing record-breaking pre-sales and midnight screening averages.
The leak comes at a sensitive time for Sony, as post-credits scenes often set up future installments in the franchise. The studio has not commented on whether the leaked content will alter any planned marketing or release strategies.
Fans should expect further updates from Sony regarding the takedown efforts and any potential changes to the film's post-release content.
