Sassuolo and Fiorentina meet in Reggio Emilia on Monday at 18:30 local time, the first of two Serie A matches closing out the league's tenth round, according to RaiNews. The late kickoff at 20:45 pairs Atalanta with Parma.
RaiNews reports that Fiorentina are in urgent need of points to pull clear of the relegation zone, while Sassuolo arrive on a run of poor results that has left Alberto Aquilani's position as coach under pressure.
Why it matters
Both fixtures carry weight at the wrong end of the table. For Fiorentina, the trip to Reggio Emilia is a chance to put distance between themselves and the drop zone. For Sassuolo, the match is as much about steadying the club as collecting points, with RaiNews describing Aquilani's bench as shaky amid the team's recent form.
The evening game in Bergamo rounds off the round's schedule, and both Atalanta and Parma go into it with squad problems of their own.
Sassuolo's midfield reshuffle
Aquilani must do without the suspended Thorstvedt, RaiNews reports. In midfield, Adzic and Bakola are expected to line up alongside Matic, while up front Esposito should be paired with Laurienté and Berardi.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported the official lineups ahead of kickoff, noting that Aquilani chose Sulemana, while Vanoli picked Mastantuono.
Fiorentina's options under Vanoli
Vanoli is expected to keep Pellegrino in the side, supported by Njie and Mastantuono, according to RaiNews. In midfield, Oulai is reported to be ahead of Brescianini for a starting place. Fiorentina will be without Atta, Parisi and Pongracic for the match.
Atalanta and Parma team news
Atalanta will be missing Kristensen and Gaetano, both dealing with muscle issues and expected back after the international break, RaiNews reports. Parma suffered a late withdrawal, with Bernabè ruled out by a strain in his left leg.
Gilardino is expected to keep Daffara in goal, according to RaiNews, while Diego Carlos and Drobnic are competing for a place in defence. Valeri is set to return on the left flank, and Romero and Lontani are contesting the spot alongside Touré in attack.
RaiNews is carrying live text coverage of the Sassuolo-Fiorentina match, with the Atalanta-Parma fixture to follow in the evening.
What to watch: whether Fiorentina can convert their need for points into a result in Reggio Emilia, and how Atalanta and Parma cope with their absentees in the round's final game.
