Governor Maximiliano Pullaro told attendees at the Santa Fe Business Forum that the province is becoming a leading economic force for its generation, according to El Litoral. The event, held in late August, marked a push to showcase the region's transformation from a drug-violence hotspot to a business destination.

The forum's early matchmaking sessions connected local companies with buyers from more than 40 countries, El Litoral reports. Provincial officials also used the event to highlight efforts to link large-scale investment projects under Argentina's RIGI incentive regime with local suppliers, according to the Santa Fe government.

Pullaro's comments come as Rosario, the province's largest city, works to shed its reputation for narcotics-related crime. La Nación describes the city as reinventing itself and aiming to expand internationally, with a growing focus on legitimate commerce. Página|12 similarly frames the province's river system as a key asset, calling it a waterway of opportunity.

The gathering signals a coordinated effort by provincial authorities to attract outside capital and integrate regional producers into bigger supply chains. Officials, including provincial ministers, have been promoting the RIGI framework as a way to bring major projects into the fold of Santa Fe's existing industrial base.

What to watch next: whether the forum's initial contacts translate into signed contracts and sustained investment flows into the province.
