Samsung has unveiled a new OLED television called the Canvas HiFi S99H, which integrates a high-powered soundbar directly into the chassis behind a wooden front panel, according to Notebookcheck. The design appears to blend a minimalist, furniture-like aesthetic with built-in audio hardware, eliminating the need for a separate soundbar placed in front of the screen.
Notebookcheck reports that the TV’s front face is covered in wood, with the soundbar concealed behind that surface. This approach suggests Samsung is targeting buyers who want a cleaner living-room setup without sacrificing audio output. The wooden panel likely serves both a decorative and acoustic function, though the report does not specify the exact materials or sound specifications.
The Canvas HiFi S99H is part of Samsung’s growing lineup of lifestyle-oriented displays, which have previously included models designed to look like framed art when not in use. This new model extends that concept by hiding audio components inside the panel itself. The integration could reduce clutter and make the TV appear more like a piece of furniture than a conventional electronics device.
Notebookcheck’s coverage does not include pricing, release dates, or detailed technical specs for the S99H. It is unclear whether the wooden front panel is removable or if it affects the OLED panel’s brightness or viewing angles.
What to watch next: Samsung may provide full specifications and availability details for the Canvas HiFi S99H in the coming weeks, including whether the wooden panel comes in multiple finishes.
