Russian missile strikes killed at least 10 people in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv Oblast, while Moscow came under a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack, according to France 24 and Le Monde.

The attack on Kharkiv Oblast was reported by Le Monde, which said the missile strike left 10 dead. Separately, Moscow’s mayor reported that more than 630 Ukrainian drones targeted the Russian capital, according to Le Monde. France 24 also described the drone barrage over Moscow as a “rain of drones,” though it did not provide a specific number.

The drone strikes also targeted Russian e-commerce infrastructure. Franceinfo reported that Wildberries, a major Russian online retailer, was hit by Ukrainian drones. Euronews added that seven of the ten largest Wildberries warehouses in Russia were struck by Kyiv, according to its reporting.

The scale of the Moscow drone attack, if confirmed, would mark a significant escalation in Ukraine’s ability to strike deep into Russian territory. RFI noted that observers see a growing Ukrainian capacity to hit targets inside Russia, both in terms of the volume of drones used and the distance they can travel.

The attacks come amid continued cross-border strikes in the ongoing war. The reported death toll in Kharkiv Oblast underscores the human cost of the conflict on the Ukrainian side, while the drone barrage on Moscow shows the war reaching the Russian capital in a sustained way.
