RM, the frontman of the K-pop group BTS, is showing his personal art collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, according to NPR. Fans have been flocking to the exhibition, NPR reports.
Coverage of the show has extended beyond music outlets. Newser described the display as a museum draw, and the Financial Times framed RM as San Francisco's newest exhibition curator. The Korea Herald also published a reflection on the exhibit at SFMOMA.
The exhibition places works from RM's own holdings before a public audience, with at least one report noting that pieces by Yoon Hyung-geun and Rothko are displayed together, according to Chosun Ilbo.
The scale of interest reflects RM's profile as the leader of one of the world's most prominent pop acts, though the reporting available does not detail how the collection was assembled or how long the show will run.
What to watch next: whether SFMOMA or RM's representatives release attendance figures or extend the exhibition's run.
