Richmond has completed a deal for a Fremantle midfielder, according to the Herald Sun, as the AFL trade period continues to generate movement across several clubs.
The Herald Sun reported on Tuesday that the Tigers had landed the Dockers onballer, while Hawthorn moved closer to securing a trade for a Gold Coast player. The Hawks have now made their offer for the Suns player official, with ABC News reporting the bid was lodged.
The same Herald Sun report stated that a deal involving the Gold Coast player had been formally submitted. Fox Sports also reported that Hawthorn had put forward a significant offer.
Elsewhere, the West Australian reported that a Fremantle player is heading east as part of the ongoing trade activity. According to afl.com.au, St Kilda has withdrawn from the race to acquire a Richmond player, while rival clubs are weighing a move for a Port Adelaide forward. The same outlet noted that Brisbane has indicated what it wants in return for a young player.
The reports do not specify the identities of all players involved or the terms of the deals, and none of the proposed trades have been confirmed as complete beyond the Richmond-Fremantle exchange.
With the trade period still open, further developments are expected as clubs finalise offers and respond to competing bids.
