Jakarta police have confirmed the ownership status of a Toyota Alphard that was involved in a confrontation at a pedestrian crossing in the Bundaran HI area, according to CNN Indonesia. The vehicle was driven by a member of the West Java regional police force, and the incident occurred when the driver allegedly drove through a red light and over a zebra crossing.

The altercation escalated when the driver argued with a security guard at the scene. CNN Indonesia reports that police later identified the Alphard as belonging to an individual connected to the West Java police. Three officers from the West Java police force involved in the confrontation have been placed under special detention for 21 days, as reported by Kompas.com.

Authorities have not released the name of the Alphard owner, but the vehicle's registration details have been verified. The incident has drawn attention to traffic enforcement and police conduct. Experts cited by SINDOnews Daerah say that even if the parties involved reach a settlement, the three officers should still face an internal ethics process.

The case remains under review by the Jakarta police, who are coordinating with their West Java counterparts. Further updates on the disciplinary measures are expected as the ethics investigation proceeds.
