Henry Okoye, the eldest brother of the P-Square duo Peter and Paul, has broken his silence on the ongoing family dispute, telling Punch Newspapers that he was the group’s first sponsor and bodyguard. In a separate report, Henry also claimed that his brother Jude is holding his 20% share of the P-Square brand.
According to Punch Newspapers, Henry said the rift between Peter and Paul may never be resolved. He described his early role in supporting the group before they became famous, saying he acted as both financial backer and protector during their rise.
The feud has escalated publicly in recent days. Premium Times Nigeria reported that Paul, known as Rudeboy, responded after Peter, known as Mr P, released a seventh video in which he made fresh allegations about money being diverted. The back-and-forth has drawn wide attention across Nigerian media.
Despite the personal conflict, Vanguard News reported that P-Square’s music catalog has seen a surge on Apple Music charts. Fans appear to be revisiting the duo’s older hits amid the renewed public attention on their split.

Henry’s comments add a new layer to the dispute, which has already involved multiple public statements from the performing brothers. His claim about a 20% stake introduces a business dimension that has not been central to the earlier exchanges between Peter and Paul.
The Okoye family has not issued a joint statement addressing Henry’s allegations. Jude Okoye has not yet responded publicly to the claim that he is withholding Henry’s share.
What to watch next: Whether Jude Okoye responds to Henry’s stake allegation, and whether the chart resurgence translates into any formal reunion or business resolution.
