Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of midfielder Mokobodi from Stellenbosch, according to multiple reports including Goal.com and the club’s official website. The player told Goal.com: “I am ready to get going.”
The move was announced on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, with the club’s website confirming the transfer under the headline “Mokobodi Joins the Buccaneers.” Supersport.com and Soccer Laduma also reported the deal, with Soccer Laduma noting that the Buccaneers have been busy adding new faces ahead of their season opener.
Mokobodi becomes the latest arrival at Orlando Pirates as the club strengthens its squad. The midfielder’s departure from Stellenbosch follows a period of speculation around other players, with Goal.com separately reporting that Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis has responded to exit rumours by saying he is not focused on such matters.
