GameGPU reported on Tuesday that the PC version of Marvel's Wolverine reached 60 FPS at 4K resolution on an RTX 5060 graphics card, with the game running natively rather than through an emulation layer.

The report frames the result as a native PC performance figure, distinguishing it from the emulation-focused tests the outlet has covered in recent weeks. GameGPU did not publish the settings, driver version, or processor used for the measurement in the material available.

The result stands apart from a run of recent GameGPU reports centered on emulation projects. In one, the KytyPS5 emulator ran Astro's Playroom at 4K with DLSS 5 enabled, though at 30 FPS on an RTX 5060 Ti. Another covered Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty running at 60 FPS on a PS5 Pro through the RPCS3 emulator. A separate GameGPU item described the PS5X360 project, which ports Xbox 360 games to the PlayStation 5.

Those items concern software layers that translate or reimplement code from other platforms, a process that typically adds overhead. The Wolverine figure, by contrast, comes from a build running directly on PC hardware.

Digital Focus also reported on a jailbroken PS5 running Halo 2 and Forza, describing how that method works.

What to watch next: whether GameGPU publishes the full test setup and settings behind the Wolverine result, and how the game scales on other RTX 50-series cards.
