Labour figures have ruled out cooperating with the Green Party following a vote at the Greens' conference that described Zionism as racism, according to The Guardian.

The Guardian reports that the decision closes off any prospect of the two parties working together. The vote has drawn criticism from within the Green Party's own ranks as well as from outside it.

Wales' First Minister described the Green Party motion as "ill-judged," the BBC reports.

The BBC also reports that the Green member who brought the motion forward was named in court as a "close friend" of a jailed al-Qaeda supporter.

The Telegraph reports that Zack Polanski said a vote for him was a vote for Israel. The i Paper described the speed of Polanski's fall as "spectacular."

The episode has placed the Greens' internal positions on Israel and antisemitism at the centre of UK political debate, with Labour's refusal to engage marking a firm break between the two parties.

What to watch next is whether Labour's position holds as the fallout from the Green vote continues.
