Russian media are detailing how ticketholders can seek refunds for Kanye West's scheduled concerts in St. Petersburg, even as authorities warn about fraudulent ticket websites.
Финансы Mail published a guide on Saturday covering spectator rights and the refund process for the upcoming shows. The report addresses what attendees should do if the events are altered or canceled, though specific dates and venue details were not included in the available summary.
The concert plans have drawn widespread attention across Russian media. The BBC questioned the motivation behind West's decision to tour in Russia, while the state pollster VCIOM has begun surveying Russians about the concerts and the possibility of their cancellation, according to Новая газета Европа.
Authorities are also flagging a growing problem: scammers have launched fake websites selling tickets to the events, as reported by БИЗНЕС Online, citing RBC. The fraudulent sites appear designed to collect payments from fans who believe they are purchasing legitimate tickets.
Separately, spbdnevnik.ru reported on remaining train availability to St. Petersburg for the concert dates, indicating significant travel demand around the performances.
The combination of refund guidance, scam warnings, and polling suggests uncertainty around the events, even as logistical preparations continue. Fans are advised to purchase tickets only through official channels and to monitor announcements from organizers regarding any changes to the schedule.
What to watch next: Whether organizers confirm the concert dates or announce postponements, and how authorities respond to the wave of fake ticketing sites.
