Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns each won their Carling Knockout fixtures, according to ESPN's live coverage of the competition on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. The results put all three of South African football's best-known clubs into the next stage of the tournament.
SuperSport reported that a Duba hat-trick carried Kaizer Chiefs into the quarterfinals. Kaizer Chiefs' own channels noted that Dortley returned to the side for the knockout tie. ESPN's coverage did not give the scorelines or the identities of the other two clubs' opponents.
The Carling Knockout has drawn attention beyond the results themselves. Flashscore.co.za framed Kaizer Chiefs' campaign as a search for past glories in the competition, while Hollywoodbets Sports Blog previewed the Chiefs' meeting with TS Galaxy, listing kick-off details, a head-to-head record and players to watch.
With the three giants through, the quarterfinal draw and fixture schedule are the next items to watch, along with confirmation of the remaining qualifiers.
