Jeremy Clarkson is returning to the subject of automobiles, but not in the way viewers might expect. According to About Amazon, a new one-off special titled Jeremy Grows a Car is coming to Prime Video in 2027. The programme will see the Clarkson's Farm presenter attempt to build a car using produce from his farm.
The announcement was reported by several outlets, including Variety, The Mirror, the Reading Chronicle and Televisual. The Reading Chronicle described the special as Clarkson making a car from his farm's produce, while Variety framed it as a return to automobiles for the presenter within the Clarkson's Farm strand. The Mirror characterised the news as a major announcement and a fresh career move for Clarkson.
The special follows the established Clarkson's Farm format, which documents Clarkson's work on his farm and has become a notable title for Prime Video. Details beyond the premise, including the release date within 2027, the length of the special and how the car will be constructed, have not been disclosed in the reporting so far.
Clarkson is well known for his long association with motoring television, and this project combines that background with the farming series that has drawn a large audience to the streaming service.
Further information on the special's release timing and format is expected ahead of its 2027 debut on Prime Video.
