Actor Jared Leto has denied fresh allegations of sexual assault, calling the claims “absolutely false,” according to News24. The accusations were reported by multiple outlets, including the BBC, on Thursday.
News24 reports that the allegations involve four women who say Leto engaged in criminal sexual conduct with them when they were teenagers. The claims were featured in a BBC documentary titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, which The Guardian described as presenting “utterly disturbing” accounts of abuse.
Leto has not provided further comment beyond his denial, according to the reports. The actor has faced previous allegations of misconduct, though no criminal charges have been filed in connection with this latest case.
The BBC and News24 have not released additional details about the specific incidents or the identities of the accusers. The documentary is now available for viewing.
