Fortuna Sittard took a 1-0 lead over Telstar in their Eredivisie match in Sittard on Saturday afternoon, with Ihattaren scoring from the penalty spot, according to NU. The broadcaster NOS also reported that Ihattaren converted the spot kick to put Fortuna ahead.
De Telegraaf described the goal as Ihattaren beating goalkeeper Koeman from the penalty spot. The reports did not give the minute of the goal or the circumstances that led to the penalty being awarded.
AD.nl reported that Telstar struggled in Sittard but came back strongly in a chaotic closing phase of the first half. The outlet did not say whether that response produced an equaliser before the interval.
NH Nieuws reported that Patrick Brouwer returned to Telstar's starting line-up for the match, and that around two hundred supporters travelled to Sittard for the game.
The five reports were published on Saturday, 7 November 2026, during the match. No further details on the scoreline beyond Fortuna's 1-0 advantage were available in the reporting.
The next thing to watch is whether Telstar's strong end to the first half carries into the second and whether Fortuna can hold on to the lead Ihattaren gave them.
