Ian Machado Garry is set to meet a fighter Yahoo Sports describes as his division's dark horse at UFC Saudi Arabia. The outlet reported the matchup on Sunday, 8 November 2026, though its headline and summary did not name the opponent or specify a date for the event.
Garry competes in the UFC's welterweight division, and the "dark horse" label suggests he has been matched with a lesser-known contender rather than a ranked headliner. Yahoo Sports did not elaborate on why the opponent carries that description, and no further details on the bout's placement on the card were included in the reporting.
The report also gave no indication of what the result could mean for Garry's position in the division, and no stakes or title implications were mentioned. Beyond the pairing itself, the available information is limited to the promotion and the location.
What to watch next: confirmation of the opponent's identity, the event date, and whether the UFC officially announces the bout as part of the Saudi Arabia card.
