GMKtec has introduced the Evo-X1 Pro, a new mini PC powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, according to TechPowerUp. The device includes support for external graphics cards via an OCuLink connection, a feature aimed at users who need additional graphical performance without upgrading the entire system.
The Evo-X1 Pro is available starting at $1,599, a configuration that includes 64 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, as reported by Wccftech. TechPowerUp notes that the mini PC leverages the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a chip designed for both productivity and AI workloads, though specific performance benchmarks were not provided in the coverage.
GMKtec also unveiled a separate, larger system in the same lineup: a 14.6-liter chassis housing an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and a desktop-class Nvidia RTX 5070 graphics card, priced at $2,400, according to VideoCardz. Notebookcheck adds that GMKtec’s broader AMD PC lineup includes models with liquid cooling options, though details on those variants remain limited.

The Evo-X1 Pro targets users who want a compact desktop with the flexibility to connect a high-performance external GPU when needed. As GMKtec expands its AMD-based offerings, the market for mini PCs with upgrade paths via eGPU support continues to grow.
