The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will open its recruitment portal for the 2026 enlistment cycle on September 4, 2026, according to a report by Graphic Online. The announcement covers the next recruitment intake and outlines how prospective applicants can apply.
Graphic Online reports that the portal opening marks the start of the application window for the 2026/2027 enlistment year. The recruitment drive is open to degree holders and other qualified candidates, with separate pathways for regular enlistment and entry into the Ghana Military Academy, as noted in related coverage from Adomonline.com and Modern Ghana.
The application process requires candidates to access the official GAF portal and obtain an E-Voucher before submitting their details, according to Pulse.com.gh. Graphic Online and GhanaWeb both warn applicants to be cautious of scammers who may attempt to exploit the recruitment period with fraudulent offers. GAF has publicly advised against paying anyone who claims to guarantee enlistment.
The 2026 recruitment follows standard GAF procedures, which typically include online registration, a selection interview, and medical screening. Candidates are urged to rely only on official GAF channels for updates and to complete their applications early to avoid last-minute technical issues.
What to watch next: Expect GAF to release specific eligibility criteria and a full application timeline once the portal goes live on September 4.
