Feist is set to be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, The Globe and Mail reports. In an interview ahead of the ceremony, the singer-songwriter discussed her career, including her music's use in iPod advertisements and her successful cover songs. She also spoke about "Heated Rivalry," according to the outlet.

The induction will take place alongside The Tragically Hip, who are also being honored this year. The Globe and Mail notes that Feist reflected on her body of work as she prepares for the recognition.

The Tragically Hip's induction has drawn additional attention from those close to the band. According to the Kingston Whig, Gord Downie's family member Langlois said the late frontman would be "super proud" of the latest recognition. Downie died in 2017.

Rob Baker, the band's guitarist, also commented on the Hall of Fame honor, Yahoo News Canada reports. The induction recognizes the group's songwriting contributions over decades.

The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame celebrates songwriters who have made significant contributions to Canadian music. Inductees are selected for their impact on the country's musical heritage.

Feist, whose full name is Leslie Feist, has built a career spanning multiple albums and collaborations. Her work has received international attention, including through commercial placements and covers of other artists' songs.

The Tragically Hip formed in Kingston, Ontario, and became one of Canada's most prominent rock bands. Downie, their lead singer, was known for his distinctive songwriting and stage presence before his death from brain cancer.

The induction ceremony will honor both acts for their songwriting achievements. Further details about the event are expected to be announced.
