Russian authorities reported that air defense systems intercepted 267 drones overnight, while warehouses operated by e-commerce firm Ozon came under attack in the cities of Ufa and Orenburg, according to БИЗНЕС Online.
The Russian-language business outlet said the strikes targeted Ozon logistics facilities in both cities. Interfax, citing Ozon, confirmed an attack on a distribution center in Ufa. Vedomosti reported that Ozon acknowledged attacks on its warehouses in Ufa and Orenburg.
The overnight drone activity spanned multiple regions, with the highest concentration reported over Russian territory. In addition to the warehouse strikes, Radio Liberty's Astra outlet described smoke rising over an oil refinery in Ufa and near a soda company site in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan. The reports did not specify the extent of damage at the Ozon facilities or any casualties.
Ozon has not yet disclosed the scale of losses or disruptions to its operations. In a related development, Sostav.ru reported that VTB Bank plans to support marketplace sellers whose goods were damaged in the attacks on Ozon warehouses. The bank's assistance program appears aimed at cushioning financial losses for merchants who rely on Ozon's logistics network.

The incidents mark a significant escalation in drone strikes targeting commercial infrastructure deep inside Russia. Warehouses and logistics hubs have increasingly become focal points in such attacks, given their role in supply chains and economic activity.
What to watch next: Ozon's official statement on the damage assessment and whether VTB's seller-support program expands to cover other affected regions.
