Diesel prices in Turkey have fallen, with the reduction now visible at fuel stations, according to a report from Diken on Tuesday.
The outlet stated that the price cut for motorin, as diesel is known locally, took effect overnight on 28 July 2026. The exact amount of the reduction was confirmed ahead of the change, Diken reported, citing other Turkish media.
The drop comes after diesel prices had climbed above 78 Turkish lira per litre in recent days, according to Internet Haber. Bigpara and Uzmanpara also covered the price movement, noting that while diesel saw a cut, there was no corresponding change for petrol or LPG on the same date.

Kurdistan24 linked the price reduction to easing tensions in the Middle East, reporting that the decline in regional geopolitical risk had contributed to the lower pump prices.
The adjustment brings some relief to motorists who have faced rising fuel costs in recent weeks. Observers will watch for any further moves in global oil markets that could affect Turkish fuel prices in the days ahead.
