Norway captain Martin Ødegaard has been included in the national team squad for the upcoming match against Wales, TV 2 reports. The same report states that Thorstvedt and Langås are not part of the group.
The squad news was published by TV 2 on Thursday. VG reports that Ødegaard is likely to be available to play against Wales, describing his condition as looking fine. TV 2 separately framed his inclusion as good news, with a suggestion that things should go well. Dagbladet also carried the story of his place in the squad.
The picture around the wider group has drawn attention too. NRK reports that experts believe injury-hit players are willing to put themselves on the line for Norway. That context sits alongside the confirmed absences of Thorstvedt and Langås, which leave gaps in the squad for the Wales fixture.
No further details on the nature of the absences or Ødegaard's fitness were given in the reporting available. What is clear from the outlets covering the squad announcement is that Norway will go into the Wales match with their captain in the group, and without Thorstvedt and Langås.
Attention now turns to whether Ødegaard features against Wales and how Norway set up without the two missing players.
