China's 2026 Mid-Autumn holiday box office reached 269 million yuan, with a re-release of Avengers: Endgame taking the top spot for the period, according to Sina News.
The figure was reported on Sunday, September 27, 2026, as the holiday slate wrapped up. The same outlet reported earlier that the holiday total had crossed 260 million yuan, with the Endgame re-release leading the field.
The holiday period drew a mix of new releases across multiple genres, Sina News reported, alongside the Marvel re-release. A separate report from Sohu described the version in theaters as Avengers: Endgame (Enhanced Premium Edition) and said newly added bonus footage depicts the collision and destruction of three thousand universes and the birth of Doctor Doom.
Cinemas in Harbin also marked the holiday with themed promotions, according to Sina Finance, including staff dressed as Captain America checking tickets and Black Widow handing out mooncakes.

The Mid-Autumn holiday is one of several shorter box office windows on China's film calendar, and the 2026 edition leaned on a combination of fresh titles and a returning blockbuster to draw audiences.
It remains to be seen how the holiday total translates into the coming weeks' chart, and whether the Endgame re-release holds its lead as the next batch of releases arrives.
