Former Formula 1 driver and analyst Martin Brundle has offered an explanation for the recent struggles of Max Verstappen, according to a report from RacingNews365. Brundle stated that small technical issues are having a disproportionate effect on the Dutch driver's performance.

The RacingNews365 report, published Tuesday, quotes Brundle as saying that even minor problems with Verstappen's car can create an "unevenly large effect" on his lap times and race results. This comes amid a period where Red Bull has faced difficulties in fully diagnosing and resolving the issues affecting their lead driver.

Separately, De Telegraaf reported that Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies acknowledged that the team cannot always pinpoint the source of Verstappen's problems. Mekies added that this is a challenge any team would face, suggesting the issue is not unique to Red Bull.

Despite these challenges, analysts have praised Verstappen's driving level, with BN DeStem reporting that experts describe his recent performances as "grandiose" and of an "unprecedented high level." Meanwhile, Lando Norris, fresh off a victory in Hungary, has warned rivals that he is now performing better in every area, according to Formule1.nl.

The next race will show whether Red Bull can resolve Verstappen's car issues and whether Norris can maintain his momentum.
