South African rapper Blxckie says his next album will carry an audible change in his voice, according to news24.com. The artist spoke about the upcoming record and about how local music is evolving, the outlet reported on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.
Blxckie framed the shift as something listeners will pick up on themselves rather than something he needs to explain. In his words, people can hear the change in his voice, news24.com reports.
The comments tie the album to a broader conversation about the direction of South African music. According to news24.com, Blxckie discussed that evolution alongside his plans for the release, placing his own artistic growth within a wider scene that is itself changing.
No release date, tracklist or further album details were included in the reporting. The headline and summary from news24.com are the only available material, so specifics about the record's sound, collaborators or timing remain unconfirmed.
What to watch next: any official announcement from Blxckie or his team confirming the album's title and release date, and further interviews in which he expands on the vocal change he has described.
