Barcelona maintained their flawless start to the season with a win over Rayo Vallecano on Monday, a result that drew high praise from coach Hansi Flick for winger Raphinha, according to Goal.com.
Flick described Raphinha’s contribution as "incredible" after the Brazilian scored twice in the match. The victory keeps Barcelona at the top of the table with a perfect record through the opening rounds of the campaign, as reported by Goal.com.
Raphinha’s brace also earned plaudits from teammate Marc Bernal, who said the team wants a captain who leads by example in the way Raphinha did, per Barca Blaugranes. The performance underscored Raphinha’s growing influence in the squad, both as a scorer and a leader on the pitch.
In a separate note, Flick addressed the transfer window, stating that Barcelona have completed a "top-class signing" and that he rules out any further additions before the deadline, Goal.com reported. The comment suggests the club is satisfied with its current roster as the window closes.
The match also saw a historic moment for Hamza Abdelkarim, who wrote his name into Barcelona’s record books with a unique achievement, according to LiveScore. Details of the feat were not specified in the available reporting.
Barcelona’s perfect start sets a strong tone for the season, but the immediate focus shifts to maintaining momentum. Next up, the team will look to extend their winning run as they face their next La Liga opponent, with Flick’s side aiming to keep the pressure on their title rivals.
