Barcelona defeated Deportivo Alavés 6-1 in their LaLiga matchday 11 fixture, according to EL PAÍS. The match was played on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
EL PAÍS reports that Mariano scored for Alavés to soften the final scoreline. The result was covered by several Spanish outlets, including Cadena SER, which published a summary of the goals and the outcome.
Coverage of the game framed it as a return to form for Barcelona. MARCA's headline said Barça "was the old Barça again," while El Mundo described the win as one that drove away ghosts of the past. SPORT published player ratings for the Barcelona squad.
The source material does not include goalscorers, line-ups or match statistics beyond the final score and Mariano's goal, so further detail on how the six goals were shared is not available here.
Barcelona's performance will be measured against their next LaLiga fixture, while Alavés will look to respond after conceding six.
